Best restaurant and cafe website templates for India (free HTML, 2026)

By Hykvra · Updated 13 October 2026 · 8 min read

When someone is hungry, they want three things fast: the menu, the prices and how to order. Most restaurant websites hide those behind a PDF, a slow slideshow or a phone number. Below are 5 free restaurant and cafe website templates built for Indian restaurants, each with a real text menu, veg and non-veg marks, and ordering or booking that goes straight to your WhatsApp.

What a restaurant website needs

  1. A text menu, not a PDF. With prices, veg and non-veg marks, and a search box for long menus.
  2. Timings, and whether you're open now. “Open now · closes 11 pm” answers the most common question before anyone calls.
  3. One clear way to order. WhatsApp ordering for regulars, plus your Zomato and Swiggy links for everyone else.
  4. Table booking, if you take reservations. Date, time, number of guests and the occasion.
  5. Location that works on a phone. A map, a landmark and parking notes.
  6. Real photos of your food. Shot in daylight, the way the dish actually arrives.
  7. Your FSSAI licence number in the footer.

Your own website vs delivery apps

Where your orders can come from
Your website and WhatsAppDelivery apps
CommissionNoneA share of every order
Customer detailsYours, for offers and feedbackMostly kept by the app
Best forRegulars, catering, party and bulk ordersNew customers discovering you
DeliveryYour own riders or a local partnerHandled by the app
Running costDomain and hosting, about ₹2,500 to ₹10,000 a yearCommission, plus ads to stay visible

The smart move for most restaurants: keep the apps for discovery, and give every customer a reason to order directly next time, like a card in the bag with your WhatsApp number and a small “order direct” discount.

  • Describe, don't list. “Slow-cooked overnight in a sealed handi” sells a biryani better than “Chicken biryani, ₹320”.
  • Mark veg, non-veg and egg clearly. Use the familiar green and red marks, and mark Jain options.
  • Show portion sizes. “Serves 2” or “750 ml” prevents disappointed reviews.
  • Put bestsellers first in each section, and mark them.
  • Keep prices honest. Say whether prices include GST and packing charges.

Launch checklist

  1. Replace the sample menu, prices, timings and address with yours.
  2. Set your WhatsApp number, so orders and bookings reach your phone.
  3. Add your own food photos and your FSSAI licence number.
  4. Put the site online with free hosting and your own domain.
  5. Add the website and menu link to your Google Business Profile, so it shows on Google Maps.
  6. Print a QR code on table tents and delivery bags that opens your menu page.

Questions people ask

Is there a free restaurant website template?

Yes. Every restaurant and cafe template on Hyklates is free to download and use for your restaurant, as long as the small 'Template by Hyklates' credit stays in the footer.

Can customers order food from these templates?

Yes. Customers add dishes to an order and send it to your WhatsApp with their address or pickup time. To take online payments, add a Razorpay payment link to your confirmation message.

Should I put my menu as a PDF?

No. A PDF menu is slow on phones, hard to read and invisible to Google. A text menu with prices and veg marks loads instantly and helps you appear in searches for your dishes.

Do I still need Zomato and Swiggy?

For discovery, usually yes. But regulars who order directly from your own website or WhatsApp save you the commission on every order. Many restaurants use both.

Do I need to show my FSSAI licence number?

Food businesses should display their FSSAI licence number. Put it in your website footer as well as on your bills.

Can I add table reservations?

Yes. The fine-dining and cafe templates include a reservation form that sends the booking to you on WhatsApp. You can also link a booking app instead.

Can someone set up my restaurant website?

Yes. Hykvra puts any of these templates live with your menu, photos and domain, from ₹4,999 including the domain and first-year hosting.
