Template for hospital website: free clinic and doctor templates (2026)

By Hykvra · Updated 20 October 2026 · 9 min read

A good template for a hospital website puts three things within one tap: the emergency number, the right doctor and an appointment request. Below are 7 free hospital and clinic website templates for India, from a multispeciality hospital to eye, Ayurveda, paediatric, skin, physiotherapy and diagnostic practices, each with WhatsApp booking built in.

Patients search for a hospital in one of two moods: worried and in a hurry, or planning a procedure and comparing options. The website has to serve both. That means a calm, factual design, obvious contact buttons and enough detail about doctors and departments that a family can decide where to go.

Running a dental clinic? We have a separate set of designs with tooth charts and treatment price lists: see dental clinic website templates.

What should a hospital or clinic website include?

  1. An emergency number on every page. If you run a 24-hour casualty, put the number in the header. If you don't, say so and tell patients to call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department. The templates already include this line.
  2. Departments with OPD timings. What each department treats, which doctors sit there and on which days, and the consultation fee.
  3. Doctors with qualifications. More on this below; it is the section patients read most closely.
  4. An appointment request. Short, phone-friendly and clear about what happens next.
  5. Location and access. Address, a map, parking, the nearest landmark, visiting hours and directions inside the building for first-time visitors.
  6. Insurance and cashless. The insurers and TPAs you work with, if you offer cashless treatment.
  7. Accreditation, only if you have it. Show NABH (for hospitals) or NABL (for labs) only if you are accredited, with the certificate number. The templates show these as samples so you can replace or remove them.

Doctor profiles patients trust

A doctor website template lives or dies by its profiles. For each doctor, show a real photo, full name, degrees (for example MBBS, MD Medicine), speciality, years of experience, languages spoken, OPD days and the medical council registration number with the council's name. Patients and their families do check these. Leave out titles like “best cardiologist in Pune”; the qualifications speak for themselves.

Carewell Hospital has a doctor finder that filters by department and day, which is the most useful feature on a multispeciality site: a patient can see who is in OPD on Thursday before they travel.

Appointments and emergencies

Every template ends its booking form in WhatsApp. The patient picks a department or doctor, a day and a time, adds their name and phone number, and a message opens ready to send to your front desk. Most Indian clinics already run appointments on WhatsApp, so this needs no new software. If you use a hospital management system, point the button at its booking page instead.

  • Confirm every request. A form is a request, not a booking. Reply with the confirmed time.
  • Never ask for medical history in a form. Name, phone, department and preferred time are enough.
  • Keep emergencies separate. A booking form must never be the route for an emergency. Put a call button next to it.

The templates, one by one

Each one has nine pages, including a list of services or departments, a detail page for each, an interactive tool, an about page with the doctors, and a booking request. Preview the whole site before you download.

Keep it factual: the rules on medical advertising

In India, the National Medical Commission (NMC) sets the professional conduct rules for registered doctors, and those rules restrict self-promotion and advertising. The rules have been revised and debated in recent years, so we won't quote a specific clause here. The safe approach for any medical website is to inform rather than advertise:

  • State qualifications, registration numbers, services, timings and fees.
  • Explain treatments honestly, including risks, recovery time and alternatives.
  • Avoid superlatives (“best”, “number one”), guaranteed cures, before-and-after promises and discount bait.
  • Use patient reviews and photos only with written consent.

The sample copy in these templates is written in that style. Still, check the current NMC guidance and your state medical council's rules before you publish, and ask your hospital's legal adviser if you are unsure.

Launch checklist

  1. Replace the sample hospital name, departments, doctors, fees and timings with yours.
  2. Add each doctor's qualifications and registration number.
  3. Put your real emergency number in the header, or the “call 112” line if you don't run a casualty.
  4. Replace or remove the sample NABH, NABL and registration lines.
  5. Set your WhatsApp number and send yourself a test appointment.
  6. Put the site online with free hosting and your own domain, and add it to your Google Business Profile and health platform listings.

Questions people ask

Is there a free template for a hospital website?

Yes. Every clinic and hospital template on Hyklates is free to download and use, as long as the small 'Template by Hyklates' credit stays in the footer. A one-time licence removes it.

What should a hospital website include?

A phone-friendly layout, departments with OPD timings, doctor profiles with qualifications and registration numbers, an appointment request, a 24-hour emergency number on every page, the address with a map, insurance and TPA information if you accept cashless claims, and accreditation only if you hold it.

Can patients book appointments on these templates?

Yes. Patients choose a department or doctor, a day and a time, and the request opens in WhatsApp ready to send to your front desk. You can point the button at your hospital management software instead.

Is there a doctor website template for a single practitioner?

Yes. The specialist templates, such as the paediatric, dermatology and physiotherapy ones, work well for a single doctor or a small clinic. Remove the team section and keep one profile.

Can a hospital website show doctor fees and package prices?

Yes, and patients appreciate it. Show consultation fees and fixed-price packages as factual information, and say that the final cost depends on the examination and treatment.

Are there rules about advertising on a doctor or hospital website in India?

Yes. The National Medical Commission's ethics rules restrict how registered doctors promote themselves. Keep the site factual and avoid claims of being the best or guaranteed cures. These rules have been revised in recent years, so check the current NMC and state council guidance.

Can someone set up my hospital or clinic website?

Yes. Hykvra puts any of these templates live with your departments, doctors, photos and domain, from ₹4,999 including the domain and first-year hosting.
