Construction website templates for builders, contractors, interior designers and architects (free)

By Hykvra · Updated 20 October 2026 · 9 min read

A good construction website template gives a builder, contractor, interior designer or architect five things: a gallery of real projects, a clear process, an honest indicative estimate per sq ft, proof that you are registered, and a way to book a site visit on WhatsApp. Below are 10 free templates built for Indian construction and interior businesses, each with its own estimator or planner.

What should a construction company website include?

Building a home is the biggest purchase most families make, and they are afraid of two things: costs that keep rising and work that stops halfway. Your website should answer both fears before the first call.

  1. Finished projects, not stock photos. Each project with the area, the locality, the time taken and before and after photos.
  2. Your process in steps. Site visit, drawings, estimate, agreement, construction, handover. Say who does what at each step.
  3. A stage-wise payment schedule. Plinth, slab, brickwork, finishing. People trust a contractor who links payments to visible progress.
  4. An indicative estimate. A ballpark per sq ft or per room, with what is included and what is not.
  5. Registrations and GSTIN. Whatever you actually hold, shown plainly in the footer and on the about page.
  6. The people. The engineer or site supervisor who will be on site, with a photo and years of experience.
  7. Site visits on WhatsApp. A short form that sends the plot size, locality and budget straight to your phone.

Per sq ft estimates, done honestly

Almost every home owner searches “construction cost per sq ft” before calling anyone. If your site gives a ballpark, they stay; if it says “call for price”, many leave. But a number on a website can also become a promise you did not mean to make. The fix is to label it clearly:

  • Call it an indicative estimate, not a quote, on the tool and in the WhatsApp message it sends.
  • List what changes the price: soil and foundation, design, finish level, city, material rates and approvals.
  • Show what is included (structure, plumbing, electrical, flooring) and what is extra (compound wall, sump, interiors).
  • Show GST as a separate line, and confirm the right rate for your contract type with your CA.
  • Say the final quote comes after a site visit and drawings.

The estimators in these templates already work this way. Buildwell splits the cost by stage, Vasundhara adds a payment schedule, and Tatva and KitchenKraft price room by room or by running foot. You set the rates once in the data file.

Licences and registrations to show, if you have them

Only show registrations you actually hold, and keep the numbers current. Common ones for Indian construction and design businesses:

  • GSTIN in the footer, for any GST-registered business.
  • RERA registration if you sell flats, villas or plots in a project that has to be registered. See our real estate website guide for how to show it.
  • Council of Architecture registration for architects. In India only people registered with the Council can call themselves architects.
  • Contractor class registration with a state PWD or other department, if you bid for government work.
  • ISO certificates, trade memberships and brand partnerships such as an authorised paint or kitchen hardware dealer.

The templates ship with sample numbers marked “(sample)”. Replace them with yours or remove the line. Rules differ by state and by type of work, so confirm what applies to you with your CA or a lawyer.

Interior design website template or architect website template?

Interior designers and architects sell taste and trust more than square feet, so their sites lead with the work. The difference is in what the client is buying.

Which template fits a design practice

TemplateTatva InteriorsRekha ArchitectsKitchenKraft
Client buysA finished home, room by roomDrawings, approvals and site supervisionOne kitchen, made to measure

An interior design website template works best with three or four projects shown in depth (the brief, the budget band, before and after) rather than forty random photos. Architects should explain their stages and how the fee is charged, because clients rarely know.

How to win leads with your construction website

  1. Set your WhatsApp number first. Every estimator, planner and contact form sends to it.
  2. Put up five real projects. Area, locality, months taken, a few photos each. Add more as you finish.
  3. Create a Google Business Profile and link the website. Most local searches for “contractor near me” start on the map.
  4. Add a QR code to your site boards, vehicles and visiting cards that opens the estimator.
  5. Ask every happy client for a Google review at handover, with a link sent on WhatsApp.
  6. Share site progress on Instagram and link back to the project page.
  7. Reply within the hour. Construction leads go cold fast; the first contractor to call back usually gets the visit.

You can host the site free on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages and pay only for your domain. For a full cost picture, read what a website costs in India.

Questions people ask

Is there a free construction website template?

Yes. Every construction and interiors template on Hyklates is free to download and use for your business, as long as the small 'Template by Hyklates' credit stays in the footer. A one-time licence removes it.

What should a construction company website include?

A gallery of finished projects with location and size, your services, a clear step-by-step process with a stage-wise payment schedule, an indicative cost estimate, your GSTIN and any registrations you hold, reviews, and a one-tap way to book a site visit on WhatsApp.

Should I show per square foot rates on my website?

Yes, as long as they are labelled indicative. Buyers want a ballpark before they call. Say what the rate includes, what changes it (soil, design, finish, city) and that the final quote comes after a site visit.

Is there a template for interior designers?

Yes. Tatva Interiors is built for interior design studios, with a portfolio, a style quiz and a room-by-room budget planner. KitchenKraft suits modular kitchen makers.

Is there an architect website template?

Yes. Rekha Architects is a clean, drawing-led template with selected work, a six-stage design process with a fee schedule and an interactive floor plan viewer.

How do I make a website for my construction company?

Pick a template that matches your trade, replace the sample projects, rates and registrations with your own, set your WhatsApp number, then host it free on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages with your domain. The estimator rates sit in the template's JavaScript file, so you can change them in a text editor; check them on a few real jobs first.

How much does a construction company website cost in India?

A freelancer or agency typically charges ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 for a small business site, plus hosting and the domain. Starting from a free template removes most of the design cost.

Can someone set up my construction website?

Yes. Hykvra puts any of these templates live with your projects, rates, photos and domain, from ₹4,999 including the domain and first-year hosting.
